Associate Director - Asset Management & Maintenance

Join to apply for the Associate Director - Asset Management & Maintenance role at Network Rail Consulting.

About the role

In this role, you will work within a small team of highly experienced rail professionals reporting to the Regional Managing Director. You will be the subject matter expert in Asset Management and Maintenance, delivering customer-focused solutions across diverse rail projects. You will also participate in sales calls as the subject matter expert in Asset Management and Maintenance.

The successful candidate will have substantial railway Asset Management and Maintenance knowledge and experience leading complex rail projects. The role is based full-time in Toronto.

Key activities include:
  • Leading Asset Management and Maintenance needs analysis and development, including Life Cycle Cost (LCC) modelling.
  • Developing and analyzing system requirements.
  • Planning and conducting verification & validation/test & evaluation activities.
  • Integrating engineering activities across the Asset/Life Cycle Cost.
  • Identifying business development and strategic growth opportunities.
  • Preparing bids, including scoping, pricing, and technical aspects.
  • Delivering projects to high standards to increase future opportunities.
  • Providing technical advice to clients.
  • Maintaining client relationships.
  • Ensuring timely and quality project deliverables.
  • Adopting a holistic approach to infrastructure management, linking skills across NRC.

About you
  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent.
  • Experience in operational performance improvement initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships.
  • Experience with Heavy Rail, Subway, Streetcar, or LRT, including train-infrastructure interfaces.
