Job summary

Kerrstreet in Ontario is seeking an Associate Controller to join our family-owned greenhouse operation. This role offers exposure to all aspects of financial management and a clear path toward CPA designation, with mentorship and hands-on learning in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment.

You will gain experience in monthly reporting, budgeting, cash flow, cost analysis, and internal controls, alongside opportunities for professional development and advancement within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Recent graduate or early-career professional (0–3 years experience).
  • Intention to pursue CPA designation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Perform cost analysis and margin reporting.
  • Assist with cash flow management.
  • Contribute to financial planning and internal controls.
  • Support year-end and audit preparation.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements.
  • Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making.

About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Controller to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a business university graduate or recent graduate who is looking to build a long-term career in financial leadership.

Working directly alongside our Controller, the successful candidate will gain broad exposure to all aspects of financial management and play a meaningful role in supporting the financial health of a growing organization. Key Responsibilities
