Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a bilingual land coordination professional to manage landowner communications, agreements, and records across Ontario and Quebec. The role involves researching land title records, preparing summaries, and supporting land acquisition, disposals, and compliance activities.

Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders is essential. Candidates must be fluent in both French and English, possess relevant land certification or degree, and be able to travel up to 50%

Qualifications

  • Related university degree, diploma, or professional land certification.
  • Fluency in French and English is required.
  • 5+ total years of experience if no university degree; 4+ years if no technical diploma.
  • Experience with land titles, legal documents, and oil and gas land activities.
  • Ability to interpret legal plans and engineering drawings.

Job description


  • Coordinate landowner communications, approvals, agreements, work authorizations, and interested party notifications

  • Research property, title, agreement, contact, and land records and prepare summaries

  • Prepare and maintain agreements, permits, correspondence, reports, partner records, work packages, and land data systems

  • Support land acquisition, disposals, crossings, field maintenance, public awareness, and compliance activities

  • Coordinate with internal and external interested parties

  • Investigate and resolve routine landowner and collaborator inquiries

  • Monitor deliverables and communicate progress, risks, and data quality concerns

  • Provide onboarding and knowledge-sharing support to team members

  • Escalate sophisticated negotiations, claims, legal matters, and collaborator issues to senior land professionals


Requirements


  • Related university degree, diploma, or professional land certification

  • 2+ years of experience related to law, lands, and Right of Way

  • Candidates without a university degree require 5+ total years of experience

  • Candidates without a technical diploma require 4+ total years of experience

  • Fluency in both French and English is required

  • Training and knowledge in land titles, legal documents, and oil and gas land activities and requirements

  • Ability to interpret legal plans, legal documentation, titles, and engineering drawings

  • Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, GIS, Access, and PowerPoint

  • High level of social skills and initiative when dealing with external and internal customers and interested parties

  • Ability to travel and work throughout Ontario and Quebec

  • Frequent travel of approximately 50% is required

  • Valid driver's license and responsible driving record required

  • Ability to manage time and priorities, raise issues appropriately, and maintain confidentiality

  • Final candidates may be required to undergo security screening, including a criminal records check

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without current or future employment-based sponsorship
