Job summary

Making Waves Swim School in Toronto, Ontario seeks an enthusiastic assistant swim instructor to join our team. You will support classes, help swimmers build water confidence, and lead safe, high-energy lessons with our Small Steps approach.

You will communicate with families warmly, create a fun learning environment, and collaborate with colleagues to keep daily operations running smoothly. Flexible day/evening/weekend shifts are available, with growth opportunities across the company.

Qualifications

• First aid and CPR-C certification required.
• Bronze Cross certification is required or preferred.
• Assistant Swim Instructor experience or training is desirable.
• Making Waves Coach Course is provided by us during onboarding.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Support Classes and Teaching swimmers using our proven Small Steps approach
• Building water confidence and real swimming skills
• Leading safe, structured, high-energy lessons
• Encouraging swimmers and celebrating progress
• Communicating with families professionally and warmly
• Creating a fun, positive learning environment
  
• Supporting your team and helping the day run smoothly

Schedule
