Job summary

Making Waves Swim School is hiring a swimming instructor in Toronto to lead small-group lessons using our Small Steps approach. You’ll build water confidence, teach real swimming skills, and celebrate progress with energetic, safe classes.

You’ll communicate warmly with families and help maintain a positive, fun learning environment. Ideal candidates are confident communicators, reliable team players, and eager to improve.

Qualifications

• First Aid and CPR-C certification required.
• National Lifeguard or Bronze Cross certification preferred.
• Complete Making Waves Coach Course (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Teach swimmers using Small Steps approach.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Teaching swimmers using our proven Small Steps approach
• Building water confidence and real swimming skills
• Leading safe, structured, high-energy lessons
• Encouraging swimmers and celebrating progress
• Communicating with families professionally and warmly
• Creating a fun, positive learning environment
• Supporting your team and helping the day run smoothly
