Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions seeks an Assistant Superintendent for high-rise residential construction across Southern Ontario. The role requires 5+ years of construction experience with multi-storey projects and a strong grasp of sequencing and on-site operations.

You will support the Site Superintendent, coordinate trades and materials, monitor schedules, and ensure quality and safety across Vaughan, Mississauga, Toronto, Collingwood and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience with exposure to multi-storey or high-rise projects.
• Strong understanding of sequencing and site operations on high-rise builds.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and mechanical drawings.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel between project locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Superintendent with day-to-day site operations.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, materials and site activities.
• Monitor construction progress and assist with maintaining project schedules.
• Assist with short-term scheduling and sequencing of upcoming work.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify deficiencies or coordination issues.
• Review drawings with trades and coordinate deliveries, materials and site logistics.
• Participate in consultant inspections, trade meetings and construction meetings.
• Monitor quality standards and ensure work aligns with drawings and specifications.
• Support site safety requirements, policies and procedures.
• Maintain site records, reports and documentation.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on outstanding items and deficiency management.

Assistant Superintendent – High-Rise Residential Construction

Location:

GTA / Southern Ontario

Project Locations:

Vaughan, Mississauga, Toronto, Collingwood and surrounding areas

Compensation:

$90,000–$120,000 annually, depending on experience + benefits

A well-established residential developer and builder is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to support the delivery of multi-storey and high-rise residential construction projects across Southern Ontario.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Site Superintendent and project management team to coordinate day-to-day site activities, trades, schedules, safety, quality and project execution.

This role requires flexibility to work across different project locations depending on the company's active construction pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Superintendent with day-to-day site operations
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades, materials and site activities
• Monitor construction progress and assist with maintaining project schedules
• Assist with short-term scheduling and sequencing of upcoming work

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience with direct exposure to multi-storey or high-rise residential projects
• Strong understanding of high-rise construction sequencing and site operations
• Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple trades on active construction sites
• Strong familiarity with Ontario construction practices, building requirements and safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and mechanical drawings
• Construction-related post-secondary education is strongly preferred
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively with subcontractors, consultants and project management teams
• Valid driver's licence and ability to travel between project locations as required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced site environment

This position is well suited to an experienced Assistant Superintendent looking to continue developing toward a full Superintendent role while working across a strong pipeline of high-rise residential projects.
