Job summary

SmartStop Self Storage in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for Store #0198. The role will oversee leasing, payments, and on-site operations while leading a small team and coordinating maintenance projects.

A strong focus on tenant relations and knowledge of our storage products is required. The position offers a starting wage of CAD 18.50/hour plus monthly bonus, with no evening shifts and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering excellent customer service in retail or storage settings.
• Ability to handle cash, payments and banking activities.
• Track record of supervising a small team.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with insurance.

• Lease storage units and parking spaces.

Job Summary

The right candidate pays attention to details, stays organized, and takes delight in finding great solutions for problems. This position is involved in all phases of the operation, including: leasing storage & parking, managing a team, assisting with maintenance, supervising onsite projects, and maintaining good relationships with tenants.

Starting at $18.50/hour + Bonus

Assistant Store Manager Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Rental of storage units
• Preparing rental agreements
• Handling financial transactions and banking activities
• Maintaining a working knowledge of all product and services
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid Driver’s License and current auto insurance
• A background check is required
• Other duties as assigned by the Company
