Summary

Assists the Store Manager in managing daily store operations, including sales growth, staffing, merchandising, expense control, and ensuring a safe shopping environment. Operates within company policies, government laws, and collective agreements.

Responsibilities

1. Assist in achieving store goals related to sales, profit, margin, shrink, and labor targets.
2. Implement merchandising programs and operational procedures to maximize profitability.
3. Coordinate with Department Managers on productivity and standards, ensuring proper merchandise display.
4. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
5. Hire, train, and develop staff to ensure a customer-focused environment.
6. Utilize new technology initiatives effectively.
7. Monitor local market competition and recommend strategies.
8. Participate in community involvement initiatives.
9. Build relationships with vendors and union representatives.

Qualifications

• College or University education
