Job description

Location: Etobicoke, Ontario
Compensation: $25 per hour
Employment Type: Full-Time

416 Tactical is hiring an Assistant Manager to oversee daily store operations, assist with scheduling, and provide leadership to the retail team. This role is essential for ensuring smooth store operations, handling customer inquiries, managing memberships, and supporting bid preparation for government contracts. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with retail management experience, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with scheduling shifts, breaks, and lunches for the retail team to ensure optimal staffing coverage

  • Supervise sales associates and provide leadership, guidance, and support to maintain high levels of customer service

  • Handle customer complaints, concerns, and recommendations in a professional and solution-oriented manner

  • Assist with bid preparation for government contracts and agency orders

  • Manage TIN Club discount membership applications and customer loyalty programs

  • Assist with vest measurement data entry and submissions for law enforcement officers

  • Ensure compliance with store policies and uphold high customer service standards

  • Train new hires, support employee development, and ensure adherence to company processes and expectations

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous experience in retail supervision, management, or a leadership role

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Experience handling customer concerns, disputes, or complaints professionally

  • Familiarity with tactical gear, law enforcement, or military products is an asset

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment
