Job summary

Dollarama in Nanaimo is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, drive customer satisfaction, and hit sales goals. You’ll act as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence.

Key duties include staff oversight, merchandising, training, cash handling, and ensuring safety and cleanliness, with opportunities for career development within the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
