General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily operations. Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers, resolve inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and provide excellent customer service.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on operating practices.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise from stockroom to store.
• Support in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Support loss prevention efforts.
• Assume management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail management preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
