Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily store operations, merchandising, and guest experience. You will help lead the team to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional customer service.

You will play a key role in training, coaching, and developing employees, while handling cash, opening/closing duties, and upholding store safety and policies. This position offers opportunities for growth within a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of retail experience.
• Two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving sales goals. Acts as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence.

Daily Tasks (but not limited to)

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.

What Do You Need to Succeed?

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
