Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily retail operations, drive customer satisfaction, and meet sales goals. You will act as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence.

You'll lead a team, assist with merchandising, staff planning, openings and closings, and ensure store standards across safety, cleanliness, and visual presentation. This role offers full-time hours and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
