Job summary

Dollarama in Abbotsford, BC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily retail operations, drive customer satisfaction, and help achieve sales goals. The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment.

You will mentor staff, oversee merchandising, training, and cash handling, and step in as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is absent. This full-time position offers growth opportunities within a vibrant retail team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of retail experience.
• At least two years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
