Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience.
• 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• ProServe certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for most of the shift.
• Strong communication, reliability, and teamwork.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach staff; assist with recruitment, onboarding and performance management.
• Support daily store operations, including opening/closing duties and staff communications.
• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service while ensuring Alberta alcohol regulations.
• Assist with inventory counts, ordering, receiving, and reviewing reports for accuracy.

About The Opportunity

We're hiring a dependable, motivated Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations and help lead a high-performing store team. What You'll Do

Leadership & Team Support

• Assist with supervising, coaching, and training staff
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance management
• Help promote a positive, engaged team culture

Store Operations

• Support daily store operations, including opening and closing duties
• Manage store communication (email, updates, task assignments)
• Work closely with the Store Manager on staffing, operational needs, and sales goals

Customer Service & Compliance

• Check ID and ensure all alcohol sales meet Alberta regulations
• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment

Inventory & Financial Support

• Assist with inventory counts, ordering, and receiving
• Review reports and documentation for accuracy
• Help support store financial targets and controllables

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of retail experience
• 2+ years in a supervisory role
• ProServe certification (or willingness to obtain)
