About the Role :
Fitzrovia is seeking to hire an Assistant Site Superintendent to join our team.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for all on-site construction activities on a daily basis.
- Support the Site Superintendent on productivity issues and monitor work performance and efficiency of employees and subcontractors to ensure project plans and schedule are followed and project is executed effectively and within budget.
- Strategically plan and implement manpower levels and material quantities; ensure proper equipment and trades are available as required, and provide leadership and guidance to project team members to support their development and career growth.
- Contribute to the development of a construction plan and manage subcontractor activities.
- Supervise and coordinate field engineering and construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with the project construction schedule and establish systems to deliver the project on time and within budget.
- Ensure project materials are supplied and work complies with the Project Quality Program.
- Implement and complete the suite construction inspection and deficiency rectification program prior to PDI.
- Build projects according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes, maintaining quality standards.
- Assist with trade meetings with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support project progression.
- Contribute to project reporting, tracking site progress, events, inspections, and relevant information.
- Manage deficiency tracking and completion, ensuring deficiencies are rectified within one week, maintaining an average PDI per suite deficiency count of 8 or less.
- Produce detailed 3-week look-ahead schedules.
- Assist with updating schedules, extra/credit logs, and forecasting supplies.
- Maintain a safe working environment for all site personnel, visitors, and residents.
- Ensure full compliance with all health and safety manuals and standards.
- Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection, promoting compliance with HS&E standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Experiences :
- 3+ years of experience in construction management, site supervision, or a related field.
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations, including OH&S standards.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, managing site logistics, and ensuring project schedules and budgets are met.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficiency in construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership and communication skills for stakeholder collaboration.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues efficiently.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Experience with deficiency management, quality control, and final inspections is an asset.
