Job summary

The Toronto Cricket Skating and Curling Club in Toronto, ON is recruiting a Contract Part-time Server Assistant to support our Food & Beverage team in busy dining areas.

This role requires Friday–Sunday availability and open availability including weeknights, weekends, and holidays. You will greet members, assist with service, and help maintain a clean, safe dining environment while delivering friendly, courteous service.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent education required.
• Some experience with food serving and public relations in hospitality or recreation.
• Experience in private club and/or hospitality industry.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and guide Members and Guests to reserved tables.
• Assist with serving and coordinating with kitchen and service staff.
• Provide friendly service and maintain a sanitary dining area.
• Set and reset tables and ensure smooth flow of service.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and club policies.

The Club is recruiting a Contract Part time Server Assistant (end on 31 Dec 2026) to join our Food & Beverage Department. This position will be responsible for assisting with serving our Club members and guests in our busy dining areas.

Mandatory availability on Friday- Sunday and have open availability, including weeknights, weekends & statutory holidays

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• A first point of contact for Club Members and Guests by greeting and guiding them to their reserved tables
• Partner with kitchen and front-line food & beverage staff to efficiently move food, flatware, etc. with a focus on service, efficiency, and consistency
• Provide friendly, courteous service to all guests and team members
• Clean, set, and re-set tables continuously, assuming responsibility for assigned areas
• Enforce and comply at all times with safe-food handling practices and the maintenance of a sanitary working environment
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed

Job Specifications

• High school or equivalent education required
• Some experience with food serving and public relations in hospitality or recreation related industry
• Experience in the private Club and or Hospitality industry
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Capable of lifting, pulling, and pushing moderate weight (up to approx. 40 lbs.)
• High levels of initiative, and dedication to providing exceptional service
• Ability to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Smart Serve certification is an asset
