Job summary

The Loft at Earls Yaletown, operated by Earls Kitchen + Bar, seeks an Assistant Sales & Events Manager to support planning, coordination and execution of private events and public nights. You will collaborate with the Sales & Events Manager and staff to stage memorable guest experiences in a dynamic hospitality space.

You will assist with inquiries, upsell opportunities, and coordination with partners, vendors, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Passion for hospitality and events.
• Strong organization and communication skills.
• Hands-on approach to supporting team and guests.
• Serving and/or bartending experience in fast-paced settings.
• Interest in sales and building guest relationships.
• Strong administrative skills (email/calendar).
• Willingness to learn and take feedback/mentorship.
• Must be legally able to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination and execution of private events and public Nights at The Loft.
• Gather information on guest objectives, budgets and preferences.
• Assist event sales and upsell to enhance guest experience.
• Maintain clear communication and event documentation.
• Coordinate with Events Manager, leadership, partners, and vendors.
• Hands-on event execution, including serving or bartending as needed.

Job description

We’re looking for a passionate Assistant Sales & Events Manager to join the team at The Loft at Earls Yaletown.

The Loft is a dynamic event and hospitality space, hosting everything from private celebrations and corporate events to public cocktail nights. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Sales & Events Manager to support the planning, coordination and execution of events while also playing a hands-on role in bringing the space to life.

This is a dynamic position for someone who loves events, hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.

As an Assistant Sales & Events Manager, you will:

• Support the Sales & Events Manager with the planning, coordination and execution of private events and Public Nights at The Loft.
• Assist with incoming event inquiries, gathering information about guest objectives, budgets and preferences.
• Support event sales and identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience through thoughtful recommendations and upselling.
• Maintain clear internal communication and event documentation to ensure details are organized and executed seamlessly.
• Coordinate with the Events Manager, restaurant leadership, event partners and outside vendors before, during and after events.
• Take an active, hands-on role in event execution, including serving and/or bartending as needed.
• Help ensure events are organized, timely and executed to Earls standards for hospitality and service.
• Ensure events comply with applicable licensing, health and safety standards.

• A passion for hospitality, events and creating exceptional guest experiences.
• Strong organization and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple moving pieces.
• A hands-on approach and willingness to jump in wherever needed to support the team and our guests.
• Serving and/or bartending experience, with confidence working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• A natural interest in sales and building relationships with guests.
• Strong administrative skills, including email and calendar management.
• Experience with Tripleseat is an asset.
• A willingness to learn and an openness to feedback, coaching and mentorship.
• The ability to legally work in Canada.
