Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is seeking a warehouse-inventory associate to ensure core standards, maintain a clean, safe storeroom, and coordinate product receiving, weighing and ordering.

You will oversee inventory control, staff training, and liaison with the Purchasing and F&B teams, while contributing to cost control and quality assurance. Eligible for on-site housing, meals, and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

• High school completion is required.
• WHMIS and food handling training are required.
• Leadership and training ability are assets.
• Physical fitness and teamwork are essential.
• Experience with warehouse management is an asset.
• Hotel operations knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory accuracy and proper storage of food and liquor items.
• Prepare daily orders and coordinate with purchasing.
• Train and supervise staff; maintain communication with F&B departments.
• Manage inventory variances using Birchstreet system.
• Ensure health, safety and company standards are met.
• Support month-end inventory processes and other duties as required.

Job Description

What you will be doing:

• Ensure Fairmont Hotels & Resorts Core standards are maintained;
• Ensure clean and safe working environment in accordance to the health and safety regulations
• Ensure proper rotation and other inventory management techniques are utilized.
• Ensure accurate tracking of all items received and issued
• Ensure proper communication with the Food and Beverage Department with regards to inventory levels and management.
• Maintain staff motivation and develop strong channels of communication, through department meetings, one-on-ones and on the job trainings.
• To train, develop and work side-by-side with our employees, ensuring they have necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties;
• Receiving products, checking weights, cost, quantity and quality.
• Prepare daily food and beverage orders and order all products through Birchstreet.
• Maintain direct contact with purchasing office in co‑ordination with Executive Chef.
• Responsible for storage & security for food and liquor stores items.
• Coordinate & facilitate month end inventories for the Storeroom and various outlets.
• To adhere to all environmental policies and procedures as required.
• Manage inventory variances through Birchstreet inventory control/purchasing system.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Your experience and skillset includes:

• Completed High School
• Excellent math skills.
• WHMIS, Food handling course a must.
• Completion of Interaction Management and Train the Trainer a definite asset
• Good physical condition.
• Excellent leadership/supervisory skills.
• Computer experience with MS applications
• Previous warehouse management skills an asset.
• Knowledge of Hotel and departments an asset.
• Must be a team player.
