Role Description

The Assistant Resident Manager team is required to live on-site and work full-time, including every other weekend and on-call duties. The primary focus is to maintain a high standard of care for the property, including customer service, general cleaning, and minor maintenance repairs.

Responsibilities
Customer Service
  • Greet and interact with residents in a friendly and professional manner
  • Promote a welcoming atmosphere
  • Provide excellent customer service and demonstrate a positive attitude
  • Address resident concerns and service requests within 24 hours
  • Follow up to ensure high resident satisfaction
  • Handle administrative tasks such as processing applications, creating notices, and managing lease renewals
  • Organize and execute resident events (e.g., holiday parties, summer barbecues)
General Cleaning
  • Maintain cleanliness of all common areas
  • Handle cleaning chemicals safely and knowledgeably
  • Perform thorough cleaning of vacant units to ensure they are move-in ready
  • Dust fire hose cabinets, bells, and elevator tracks
  • Monitor and clean garbage chutes and recycling rooms
  • Coordinate garbage collection with city waste schedules
  • Understand safe handling of cleaning materials (WHMIS)
  • Perform yard maintenance, snow removal, and salting as needed
Property Maintenance
  • Assist residents with maintenance requests
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify minor deficiencies
  • Report safety hazards or significant issues to supervisors
  • Assist in HVAC monitoring and troubleshooting minor electrical, plumbing, and boiler issues
  • Help schedule and oversee repair activities
Fire Safety
  • Understand fire and life safety systems
  • Assist in emergency procedures
Qualifications
  • Previous or similar cleaning experience
  • Professional and presentable appearance
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to perform minor repairs and mechanical tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Good communication skills
