Job summary

Applegreen is seeking an Assistant Plaza Director to support the Plaza Director in managing day-to-day operations and profitability of a multi-million-dollar travel plaza along a major highway. You will lead a team of associates and managers to deliver fast, friendly service while achieving financial targets.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in restaurant or retail leadership, strong cost control, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of proven success in restaurant or retail leadership.
• Flexible on-site schedule ~50 hours per week including days, nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for the travel plaza in the absence of the Plaza Director.
• Lead day-to-day activities of associates and leadership to hit sales and service targets.
• Monitor progress towards financial objectives and implement changes to maximize performance.
• Ensure food/beverage concepts adhere to brand standards.
• Foster a culture of learning, accountability, and development.
• Recruit, develop and retain strong teams across the plaza.
• Support leadership to meet individual and business goals and supervise reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and local laws.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally.
• Collaborate with Brand Partners, HR, Loss Prevention, Finance, and Facilities.
