About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Provincial Manager of Mental Health and Addictions (MHA) Intake Services, the Assistant Manager is a member of the Mental Health & Addictions Intake Leadership team and is responsible for advancing priorities of the portfolio via supporting the ongoing development and implementation of assigned MHA Intake program services and initiatives. The Assistant Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations, ensuring the effective, efficient use of human, fiscal, and material resources in the delivery of quality client-centered care.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in health or a related field
  • Eligible for registration with relevant health or professional discipline / college or association
  • 3-5 years recent and related progressive leadership experience. Experience in Mental Health and Addictions is an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of mental health/addictions care delivery systems in hospital and community
  • Evidence of commitment to a healthy workplace and the use of best practices in building/sustaining staff competencies, ensuring good communication and involvement of staff and clients/residents in decisions which affect them
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective collaborative relationships and partnerships with stakeholders
  • Strong human resource management, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Flexibility and creativity are required to meet the challenges in a dynamically changing environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of and champion of family-centered care
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and enhanced customer service
  • Ability to identify and report budgetary pressures to the manager and assist the manager in identifying mitigation strategies to keep spending within budget

Hours
  • Permanent, full-time position; 75 hours bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits

$40.15 - $53.35 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
