Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking an Assistant Manager, Global Sponsorship Marketing to help plan and execute sponsorship programs across Canada, focusing on mass-audience sports and entertainment. Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Business, Communications, Event Management, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in brand marketing, sponsorships, partnerships, experiential marketing, events, or related area.
  • Understanding of the Canadian sports, entertainment, and cultural landscape.
  • Experience coordinating marketing campaigns, sponsorship activations, events, or partner deliverables.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow through on commitments.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal teams, external partners, agencies, and vendors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of short- and long-term sponsorship plans across the Canadian sports and entertainment landscape.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to drive brand and business results through Scotiabank’s portfolio of sponsorship partners.
  • Coordinate sponsorship activations, campaigns, events, and related marketing initiatives.
  • Support the fulfillment of contractual obligations while ensuring brand alignment and effective use of sponsorship assets.
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, agencies, external partners, and sponsorship properties.
  • Track key sponsorship details, timelines, deliverables, approvals, and budgets.
  • Stay informed about Canadian cultural, sports, and entertainment trends and industry best practices.
  • Support the preparation of presentations, status updates, post-event reports, and performance summaries.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.
  • Manage day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with Scotiabank’s values, risk culture, and internal controls.
  • Travel and work outside regular business hours as required based on the seasonal events schedule.

The Assistant Manager, Global Sponsorship Marketing contributes to the overall success of the Global Sponsorship Marketing team in Canada, with a focus on mass-audience sports and entertainment properties. The role supports the planning and execution of sponsorship programs that strengthen the Scotiabank brand and deliver business results.
