Job summary

Bingemans is hiring an Assistant Kitchen Manager for our Kingpin Boston Pizza in Kitchener, ON. You’ll help manage daily kitchen operations, supervise cooks and support staff, ensure recipes and food presentation meet standards, and maintain food safety compliance.

With 2–5 years in a commercial kitchen and at least 1 year in supervision, you’ll lead teams, control costs, schedule shifts, and assist with menu updates and special events. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a commercial kitchen.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and inventory management.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handler Certification required or obtained shortly after hiring.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient food preparation and service.

• Create staff schedules and assist with shift planning as directed.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report repair needs.
• Address operational issues and support problem-solving during service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
• Assist with menu implementation, recipe updates, and special events as needed.
• Step into the Kitchen Manager's role during absences.
