Job summary

Bingemans is hiring an Assistant Kitchen Manager for the Kingpin Boston Pizza in Kitchener, Ontario. The role supports daily kitchen operations, training and guiding staff, ensuring quality and safety, and helping with menu updates and events.

The ideal candidate brings 2–5 years in a commercial kitchen with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, strong leadership, and flexible availability including evenings and weekends. Food Handler Certification is required or obtained soon.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

• Assist with receiving and inspecting deliveries for quality and accuracy.
• Train, coach, and mentor kitchen team members.
• Create staff schedules and assist with shift planning as directed.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and report repair needs.
• Address operational issues and support problem-solving during service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
• Assist with menu implementation, recipe updates, and special events as needed.
• Step into the Kitchen Manager's role during absences.
