Thomson Reuters is seeking an Assistant General Counsel, Litigation in Toronto to lead a broad portfolio of commercial disputes worldwide. You will manage class actions, IP enforcement, privacy issues, antitrust and other high-stakes matters, collaborating with outside counsel globally.

The role emphasizes strategic advocacy, data-driven budgeting, and leveraging AI-enabled legal technology within the GCO Litigation Practice Group.

Qualificações

• Law degree and active admission to practice in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 5–10+ years of post-qualification experience managing commercial litigation or arbitration.
• Experience with or openness to using emerging legal technologies, including AI and eDiscovery.

Responsabilidades

• Manage a broad portfolio of commercial disputes and litigation across jurisdictions.
• Lead copyright/IP enforcement and defense, and strategic dispute planning.
• Direct class action defense, including antitrust and privacy claims.
• Coordinate with outside counsel globally and oversee disclosure, discovery, and records management.
• Advise business leaders with timely, practical guidance and risk assessment.
