Why this role is important?
SUMMARY:

Assist the Front Store Manager (FSM) in managing the store's human, physical, and financial resources, ensuring store objectives are achieved by focusing on improving product flow from the backroom to the sales floor.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
OPERATIONS:
  • Maintain Store Standards to optimize customer experience, drive traffic, and positively impact profitability.
  • Work with Management Team to ensure Store Standards are consistently in effect, including the backroom.
  • Assist in managing labour scheduling with the FSM and leverage Workforce Management (WFM) to maximize productivity.
  • Ensure staffing levels are adequate for effective store operation.
HUMAN RESOURCES:
  • Comply with Human Resources Standards.
  • Assist with hiring in conjunction with the FSM, supporting hiring across departments excluding Pharmacy.
  • Maintain wage administration within SLPH guidelines.
  • Promote Blue Culture, engagement, and motivate staff through core values.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong planning, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with inventory management and expense control.
  • Effective leadership, mentorship, and staff development abilities.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Previous retail management experience.
  • Ability to drive business and support corporate programs.
  • Effective team collaboration skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
