Schlegel Villages, located in Windsor, Ontario, is seeking an Assistant Food Service Manager to join our team. The role focuses on supervising the food services team and delivering high-quality meals to residents in a supportive, resident-centered environment.

The position offers a temporary full-time contract ending April 2027 with opportunities for growth within our long-term care villages. Strong leadership, budgeting and regulatory knowledge are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (C.S.N.M.) with active membership.
• Experience in large-quantity food preparation, financial planning and food purchasing.
• Creative flare for menu planning, preparation and presentation.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to supervise and secure cooperation of the food services team.
• Effective communication with older adults, families and caregivers.
• Excellent oral and written communication; strong team player.
• Knowledge of Ontario Food Premises Regulation, CCHSA/ORCA, Ontario Long-Term Care Facility Program manual and OH&S Act.

The expected hiring range for this position is $48,410 to $52,300. This role falls within a broader internal salary band, with growth opportunities based on demonstrated performance.
