Schlegel Villages is seeking a Food Service Aide at The Village of Ridgeview Court in Milton, ON. This permanent part-time role supports dining services for residents, serving meals and beverages according to diets and preferences, while maintaining safety and sanitary practices.

Evening shift 4:15 PM to 8:15 PM, 28 hours biweekly, with a requirement to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check and TB screening before starting.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Food Services Worker training is an asset (not required).
• Hold a valid Food Handlers certification (upload with resume).
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Strong time management and teamwork.
• Resident-centered service mindset and high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and beverages following residents' diets and preferences with safe handling.
• Monitors quality of food supplies and equipment, reporting issues.

The Village of Ridgeview Courthas exciting opportunities for a Food Service Workers to join their team.

• Status: Permanent Part-Time
  Location: The Village of Ridgeview Court; 545 Dymott Ave, Milton, ON L9E 2C9
  Expected Start Date: September 2026

The hiring rate for this role is $22.28 per collective agreement/employee association agreement.

Successful candidates will be required to provide an acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and acceptable Tuberculosis (TB) screening test before starting.

As a new Food Services team member (FSA), you will:

• Serves meals and beverages, following residents’ diets and food preferences while using
  safe and sanitary food handling techniques.
• Monitors the quality of food supplies and equipment received, advising leaders of
  problems.
• Assists in the preparation of catering functions, room setup with necessary food service
  equipment, food and beverages, flatware and dinner ware, as requested
• Sets and maintains a clean and sanitized dining room and workspace.
• Assists with orientation and training of new food service team members.
• Preparation of nourishment carts (where applicable).
• Dishwashing duties (where applicable).
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Completion of the Food Services Worker training program is an asset (not required)
