Schlegel Villages is seeking an Assistant Food Services Manager to support the Village of Humber Heights in Etobicoke and the Village of Erin Meadows in Mississauga, Ontario. This permanent full-time role requires 75 biweekly hours (Humber Heights: 3 days/week; Erin Meadows: 2 days/week).

The role requires CSNM membership and experience in large-quantity food preparation, menu planning, and leadership. Candidates must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and TB screening prior to starting.

Qualifications

• Must be a member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM).
• Experience in large-quantity food preparation, financial planning and food purchasing.
• Demonstrated ability for menu planning, preparation and presentation.
• Strong leadership to supervise and coordinate the food services team.
• Ability to work with older adult population and families; strong communication.
• Knowledge of Ontario food safety, OH&S and related regulatory manuals.

Responsibilities

• Support two villages: Humber Heights (Etobicoke) and Erin Meadows (Mississauga).
• Lead and supervise the food services team; coordinate menus and purchases.
• Ensure high-quality meals and resident-centered service; communicate with residents and families.
• Uphold safety, regulatory compliance and quality standards in food service.

The Village of Humber Heights, located in Etobicoke, and the Village of Erin Meadows, located in Mississauga,Ontario,havean exciting opportunity for an Assistant Food Service Manager to support both villages and join their team.

Status: Permanent Full-Time
Location: Humber Heights: 2245 Lawrence West, Etobicoke, M9P 3W3 and Erin Meadows: 2930 Erin Centre Blvd., Mississauga
Expected Start Date: TBD

Scheduled Hours: 75 Biweekly. The Village of Humber Heights requires 3 days/week + the Village of Erin Meadows requires 2 days/week.

The hiring range for this role is between $48,410 and $52,300. Successful candidates will be required to provide an acceptable Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) and a Tuberculosis (TB) screening test before starting. How Schlegel Villages supports our Team Members:

As our new Assistant Food Services Manager, you will:

• Be a member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (C.S.N.M.) and maintain active membership.
• Have experience in large quantity food preparation, financial planning and food purchasing.
• Demonstrate a creative flare for menu planning, preparation and presentation.
• Have strong leadership skills and proven ability to supervise and secure the co[1]operation of the food services team.
• Work with and communicate effectively with the older adult population as well as their family and/or caregivers.
• Have excellent oral and written communication skills and an effective team player who works well with others.
• Be knowledgeable in the Ontario Food Premises Regulation, CCHSA/ORCA, Ontario Long-Term Care Facility Program manual and OH&S Act.
