Reports to: Financial Center Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
Grade: 7
Pay Range: $20.50 - $35.99
Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.
Location: Great Barrington, MA - 244 Main St

Purpose/Objective:

Assists the Financial Center Manager with growing the Bank by managing customer relationships, directing branch operations, supervising team members, and ensuring that the entire team consistently provides excellent customer service.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Customer Service & Sales: Educates clients on our products and services offered in the branches and digitally. Initiates, processes, and closes various loans, including Consumer, Home Equities, and Small Business. Manages client relationships using tools such as the Relationship Builder and Salesforce. Refers clients to partnership solutions like Wealth, Insurance, Cash Management, and Mortgage. Leads lobby management, ensures prompt assistance, and thanks clients for their business. Resolves client issues and assists with digital banking adoption. Ensures proper documentation and compliance for accounts. (35%)
  2. Branch Sales & Leadership: Supports the Financial Center Manager in building a sales culture to meet branch and bank-wide goals. Coaches, develops, and trains staff. Monitors client experience quality, communicates policies, and leads staff meetings. Stays informed about banking regulations and branch security. Reviews and approves legal documents related to accounts. Educates staff on new products and promotions. (35%)
  3. Operations Management: Manages daily branch operations, including opening and closing, security adherence, and backup support. Oversees client transactions and branch appearance. Reviews reports and may oversee audits. (20%)
  4. Staff Management: Provides input on performance management, recommends salary adjustments, and supports disciplinary actions. Assists with hiring, scheduling, and managing staff attendance. (10%)
  5. Compliance: Ensures adherence to banking laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards. Must be eligible for the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry for SAFE Act purposes. Must be available for Saturday hours and travel as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of branch banking experience
  • Proven decision-making, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and supervisory skills
