Lev Senior Living in Hamilton, ON is seeking an Assistant Director of Care (RPN) to lead the nursing team, oversee resident care plans, and coordinate daily operations. The role requires flexibility, after-hours/weekend on-call rotation, and a compassionate approach to seniors.

You will collaborate with the Director of Care, support staff, and physicians, ensuring Falls Prevention, medication administration, and multidisciplinary care conferences run smoothly.

Qualifications

• Current registration and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong supervisory/leadership abilities.
• Medication administration using EMAR.
• Experience with scheduling multiple roles.
• Knowledge of RHRA legislation.
• Excellent customer service and team attitude.

Responsabilités

• Complete Resident Care Plans.
• Complete assessment requirements for Falls Prevention, medication administration, behavioral management.
• Participate in Care Conferences and be part of the Multidisciplinary team.
• Conduct health education to staff and residents.
• Provide personal care and administer medications as required- assist and fill in for PSW/UCP as required
• Participate and facilitate committee meetings in the absence of the DOC.
• Administrative and Clerical tasks.
• Assist house physician when required.
• Provide customer service and respond to resident concerns and needs.
• Weekend availability will be required - every 7th weekend.

Assistant Director of Care - RPN

Full Time: Permanent

Current Status: Vacant as of October 20th, 2026

Location: Hamilton, ON

Start Date: ASAP

The compensation range listed reflects the expected hiring range for this position. However, candidates with significant or directly related experience, specialized skills, or advanced qualifications may be considered for compensation above the posted range

Full Time: 9-5, or 11-7pm or as operational need

This role allows us to continue to provide excellent customer service to our residents as well as to assist the Director of Care . This management role will require flexibility and the ability to participate in afterhours/weekend on-call rotation for nursing departments. We are looking for an ADOC who is committed and compassionate about seniors, with prior leadership experience. Successful applicant will have the ability to advocate for residents, is organized efficient and ableto navigate challenging conversations

On a regular basis, you will assist the Director of Care :

• Complete Resident Care Plans
• Complete Assessment requirements for Falls Prevention Program, medication administration, behavioral management

Job Requirements

• Current Registration and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current CPR and First Aid
• Supervisory/ leadership skills
• Medication Administration Skills using EMar system
• Point of Care experience
• Knowledge of Point Click Care is an asset
• Experience in Retirement Home setting is an asset
• Experience with scheduling multiple roles and changing needs
• Knowledgeable of the RHA and The RHRA Legislation's
• Excellent Customer Service skills. You will possess a can-do attitude and promote a positive work environment for entire team
