Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Canada is seeking an assistant department manager to oversee daily department operations and support the department manager. You’ll provide coaching to team members, work with production and customer service staff to ensure top-tier service, and help manage inventories, pricing, and promotional activities to keep the business ready for customers.

• perform day-to-day management activities within your department in collaboration with the department manager
• provide team members with the feedback necessary for their professional development and the achievement of established objectives

• in collaboration with the manager, ensure the management of inventories, price lists, marketing and salary productivity according to established standards in order to ensure business readiness
