Summary:
The Assistant Dean of Development for the Tyler School of Art and Architecture, reporting to the Dean and the Associate Vice President of Development, will manage a portfolio of prospects with a capacity of $50,000 and greater to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors to the School. Working in collaboration with the Dean and the Assistant Vice President, the Assistant Dean will create, manage, and execute strategies to increase philanthropic investment at Tyler. The individual will work closely with Institutional Advancement central operations in aligning unit-based priorities with those of institutional leadership. The Assistant Dean will serve on the Dean’s administrative leadership team and will create and implement strategies designed to support the funding of the dean’s priorities. In collaboration with the Dean and Associate Vice President, the Assistant Dean will manage the Board of Visitors, consisting of the School’s top prospects and donors. In addition, the Assistant Dean will have oversight and management responsibilities of associated staff. This person must be a highly energetic, organized, and enthusiastic professional with a track record of building donor relationships, working collaboratively and strategically, with a strong knowledge of principles, ethics, and practices of successful fundraising. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and at least seven years of fundraising experience with a proven track record of closing six to seven figure gifts. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
