Base pay range

$85,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr

Salary Range: $85k - $115k CAD

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Assistant Controller in Cambridge, Ontario. The role involves maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely consolidated financial statements for all business operations. The candidate will develop new processes and systems to manage all financial and fiscal aspects of the company, lead the development and implementation of the accounting department’s multi-year plan, and manage operational and strategic planning within the department.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain and ensure adherence to accounting principles and practices.
2. Develop and implement financial processes and systems.
3. Lead strategic planning for the accounting department.
4. Manage operational activities including month-end bookkeeping and filings.
5. Oversee a team of AR and AP resources.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• At least 7 years of experience in Accounting and Finance.
• Proficiency with manufacturing ERP systems such as EPICOR or NetSuite.
• Experience managing a small team of AR and AP resources.
• Experience with month-end bookkeeping and filing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in Big 4 firms.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Canadian Tax compliance.
