Job summary

Gap Inc in Canada seeks an Asset Protection Coordinator to execute safety and shortage reduction strategies across our stores. You will investigate theft, train teams, and work with local law enforcement to protect people and products across Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, and Athleta.

In this role you will conduct security audits, analyze incident trends, and participate in store-level meetings to foster a culture of safety and accountability.

Qualifications

• Strong investigative and analytical abilities are required.
• Experience training store teams on safety and theft prevention.
• Experience working with law enforcement and legal systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems and reporting tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication and time management skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Investigate internal and external theft using surveillance, data analysis, and case management tools.
• Partner with store leadership to identify shortage risks and implement prevention strategies.
• Train store teams on safety protocols, theft deterrence, and incident reporting systems to build awareness and capability.
• Collaborate with law enforcement to build and prosecute cases involving habitual or aggressive offenders.
• Perform security audits to ensure compliance with physical security standards and company policies.
• Support emergency preparedness by helping stores plan for and respond to safety incidents or crises.
• Analyze incident trends and share insights with AP leadership to inform broader prevention strategies.
• Represent the AP function in store-level meetings and contribute to a culture of safety and accountability.
