Job summary

Walmart Canada Corp in St. Catharines is seeking an Asset Protection Associate to help maintain a safe store environment and reduce loss. You will patrol, verify security features, and escalate investigations to leadership as required.

Responsibilities include handling internal and external theft cases, supporting evacuation procedures, and coordinating with Loss Prevention leadership. The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays and compliance with all company policies.

Qualifications

• Age 16 or older.
• Security Guard License required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily patrols of the store to help ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Verify that doors, showcases, and security features are functioning properly and take action as required.
• Investigate incidents of financial and physical shrink and communicate findings to Store Leadership.
• For internal investigations, escalates information to the Market Loss Prevention Manager in accordance with Company guidelines.
• Conduct or support investigations related to internal theft, external theft, organized retail crime, and cases assigned through Walmart Canada Global Ethics.
• Support store evacuation and emergency procedures during incidents such as fire or other emergencies.
• Participate in store task team responsibilities as required to support overall operations.
• Carry out external apprehensions when required, in compliance with Company policies and legal standards.
• Gather and communicate information from multiple sources, clearly explaining issues and findings to leadership and other stakeholders while presenting relevant perspectives.
• Complete additional responsibilities as required to support evolving business needs and Asset Protection priorities.
