Job summary

Walmart Canada in Langford, BC is seeking an Asset Protection Associate to help maintain a safe, secure store environment for customers, associates and vendors. You will follow Asset Protection standards, perform patrols, and support loss prevention efforts.

You will conduct investigations, assist with emergency responses, and communicate findings to leadership. The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a valid Security Guard License.

Responsibilities

• Store Security and Loss Prevention: conducts daily patrols to ensure a safe environment and verifies doors and security features function properly.
• Investigations and Case Support: investigates incidents of shrink and communicates findings to Store Leadership; supports internal and external investigations.
• Emergency Response and Store Support: assists with store evacuations and emergencies; participates in store task teams.
• Enforcement and External Apprehensions: carries out external apprehensions when required per policy and law.
• Communication and Reporting: gathers information from multiple sources and presents findings to leadership.
• Additional Duties: supports evolving Asset Protection priorities.
• Flexibility: available for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• POTENTIAL CHALLENGES: high task volume and physical demands such as standing, lifting up to 50 lbs.
