Job summary

S&C Electric Canada is hiring a Supervisor - Assembly (Day Shift) to lead a team of machine operators and assemblers in metal enclosed switchgear assembly. You will coordinate with engineering and Supply Chain to ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

The role requires 3+ years in lean manufacturing with supervisory experience and a strong grasp of 5S/Kaizen, with opportunities for incentive bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant work experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of LPS (5S, 4S, Kaizen, Gembas).
• Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment.
• Familiarity with OHSA responsibilities for supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of operators and assemblers to meet quality standards in metal enclosed switchgear.
• Collaborate with engineers and supply chain to achieve objectives.
• Provide a safe, productive workspace and coach team members on safe practices.
• Coordinate shift change-overs and daily administrative tasks.
• Set priorities and manage schedules to meet delivery and quality goals.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and visualize KPIs.
• Conduct regular safety walks and promote a safety culture.
