Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Assembly Manager to lead our Assembly, Wiring, and Panel Building operations in Mississauga.

This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for ensuring complex machine builds and retrofit projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll lead a skilled team, collaborate closely with Project Management and Engineering, and play a critical role in the successful delivery of customer projects.

The Opportunity

As Assembly Manager, you'll oversee the day-to-day operation of our Assembly Department and Machining Centre, ensuring resources, processes, and people are aligned to deliver outstanding project execution. You'll be a hands‑on leader who enjoys solving problems, developing teams, and driving continuous improvement within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead and develop Assembly Team Leaders, the Wiring Team Leader, and Assembly/Wiring personnel.
  • Create a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach, mentor, and support teams to achieve project and departmental objectives.
  • Manage attendance, vacation approvals, timesheets, and resource allocation.
Project Delivery & Operational Excellence
  • Take ownership of assembly and wiring execution for all new machine builds and aftermarket retrofit projects.
  • Partner closely with Project Managers to ensure technical decisions align with project requirements and customer expectations.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and workmanship.
  • Prepare assembly and wiring plans and ensure effective execution across project teams.
  • Monitor project status, identify risks early, and implement recovery plans where required.
Continuous Improvement & Safety
  • Drive efficiency, productivity, and resource optimization across the department.
  • Develop and improve operational processes that enhance quality and consistency.
  • Champion workplace safety and actively promote a strong health and safety culture.
  • Conduct workplace inspections and support initiatives that reduce risk and improve working practices.
  • Maintain an organized, professional, and high-performing production environment.
What We’re Looking For

We're interested in speaking with leaders who have a strong technical background and a proven ability to motivate and develop teams within a manufacturing or automation environment.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Experience leading assembly, manufacturing, production, or industrial engineering teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical machinery.
  • Experience delivering complex engineering or capital equipment projects.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and machine debugging capabilities.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and project coordination skills.
  • A hands‑on leadership style and willingness to stay close to the operation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong report writing and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
