Job summary

Excelitas Technologies Corp. in Canada is seeking an Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The role involves documentation, assembly, electrical test, machine test and inspection, with flexibility to work on different phases of operations.

You will clean parts, mount with epoxy and solder, and support sub-assemblies and fiber optic attachment. Experience in a manufacturing environment and ability to work autonomously or in a team are valued, along with good manual dexterity and basic data

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good manual dexterity and visual acuity.
• Bilingualism is an asset (French/English).

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare parts using simple chemical cleaning procedures.
• Mount product with epoxy and solder.
• Mounting of other components, e.g. hybrid sub-assemblies, with epoxy and solder.
• Hand mark devices.
• Test components and assemblies after completion.
• Sub-assembly fabrication for final product.
• Attach fiber optic components.
• May use SAP system to make transactions.
• Assist Team Leader in training of new employees.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Assembler

The Assembler position consists of documentation, assembly, electrical test, machine test and inspection. Each assembler may be required to work on any single phase of operations at a given time.

Your Responsibilities

• Cleaning and preparation of parts by simple chemical cleaning procedures;
• Mounting of product with epoxy and solder;
• Mounting of other components, e.g. hybrid sub-assemblies, with epoxy and solder;
• Hand marking of devices;
• Test components and assemblies once finished;
• Sub-assembly fabrication to be used on final product;
• Fibre optic attachment;
• The assembler may need to use the SAP system to make certain transactions;
• The assembler may assist the Team Leader in the training of new employees;
• Performing other related duties as required.

Your Qualifications

• Possess a High School Diploma;
• Have experience in a manufacturing environment;
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
• Have good organizational skills;
• Experience with computer data entry (an asset);
• Good manual dexterity and visual acuity;
• Bilingualism (French and English) an asset;
