Job summary

OSI Systems, Inc. is seeking an Assembler for the PFC Flexible Circuits Limited division in Canada. You will assemble flexible circuits using a soldering iron and microscope, inspecting boards to meet drawings and specifications.

The role supports the afternoon shift (3:30pm - 12:00am) with a $0.75 per hour shift differential. High attention to detail and proficiency with small tools are essential.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must be able to use small hand tools (e.g. tweezers, solder wick, precision cutters) and a microscope.
  • High School Diploma is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hand assembly tasks including soldering components and applying epoxy/coatings.

PFC Flexible Circuits Limited, a division of OSI Electronics, is seeking an Assembler who will be responsible for using small tools and microscopes to put together flexible circuits and solder parts. This individual will inspect and ensure that every board is properly assembled according to drawing specifications.

This individual will support afternoon shift operations (3:30pm - 12:00am).

***This position offers a $0.75 per hour shift differential for second shift hours of operation (3:30pm - 12:00am).***


Responsibilities

  • Perform all responsibilities in areas of hand assembly which include: Using a soldering iron to solder components together; Applying epoxy and coatings using dispensing equipment; Visually check work in process for defects and make adjustments as required.
  • Conduct self-inspection and inspect assemblies completed by others.
  • Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork.

  • It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma desired.
  • Must be able to use small hand tools (e.g. tweezers, solder wick, precision cutters, etc.) and microscope while handling parts regularly.
  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination, dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with diagrams/product schematics desired.
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in the business language (English).

Pay may range from $17.60 to $17.60 hourly
