Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled assembler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling units such as motors and gearboxes, ensuring precision and quality in every task. You will also play a vital role in maintaining the work area to uphold safety standards and participate in cross-training to enhance your skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble units, including motors and gearboxes, accounting for 65% of the workload.
• Visually check the match between work orders and parts, which constitutes 15% of the duties.
• Perform area maintenance tasks, including cleaning gear housing and ensuring a safe work environment, making up 15% of responsibilities.
• Participate in cross-training as required and relocate to other workstations when advised.

Essential Skills

• 3+ months of mechanical assembly experience.
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches and ratchets, as well as power tools.
• Ability to follow blueprints and instructions accurately.
• Capability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• SDCB forklift certification and experience is a nice-to-have skill.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of an organized and clean facility with a team size of 10 people. The culture is welcoming and low-stress yet challenging, with ample training opportunities for new employees. Work hours are from 8 am to 4:30 pm, including two-minute breaks and a lunch break from 12 to 12:30. Dress code is casual and comfortable clothing.
