Job summary

1911 Gold Corporation is seeking an Assay Lab Technician to support preparation and analysis of mineral samples using fire assay techniques. Responsibilities include receiving samples, preparing reagents, and maintaining lab safety and organization.

The role requires a chemistry-related diploma or degree and about 1 year of lab experience, with strong documentation practices and proficiency in Excel. Work schedule follows 14 days on/14 days off at the True North Gold Project.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in chemistry or chemical technology.
• 1 year laboratory experience.
• Familiarity with wet chemistry techniques and documentation practices.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Proficient with Excel and Word.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, label, log, and store samples per lab procedures.
• Operate laboratory instruments (AAS, ICP).
• Prepare samples, reagents, standards, solutions for analysis.
• Calibrate, clean, and maintain lab equipment.
• Record observations and results accurately in notebooks or LIMS.
• Support quality control with blanks, standards, and control samples.
