A leading construction firm is hiring an Asphalt Roller Operator in Calgary, Alberta, for the 2026 Construction Season. This role focuses on ensuring proper compaction of asphalt layers and conducting daily equipment checks. Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years of experience rolling hot mix asphalt and strong mechanical knowledge. The position requires effective teamwork and communication skills. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience rolling hot mix asphalt with large and small rollers.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
• A valid class 5 driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Conduct multiple roller passes over asphalt for compaction.
• Complete and document daily pre-trip equipment inspections.
• Collaborate with paving crews for alignment and compaction.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections on equipment.
• Adjust roller settings for desired compaction levels.
• Monitor asphalt temperature and moisture for compaction efficiency.
• Work with other operators and laborers to meet project deadlines.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Follow company policies for quality standards.
