Job summary

One World Global Services is seeking an experienced ASL interpreter to provide sign language interpretation in a variety of settings, including academic environments. The role focuses on accurate ASL-to-English interpretation while maintaining professional standards and confidentiality.

The interpreter will work with deaf and hard-of-hearing students and staff, collaborating with instructors, administrators, and support personnel to empower students to succeed.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret between ASL and spoken English accurately.
• Compliance with NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Background check and/or drug screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately complete assigned tasks and assignments promptly.
• Learn and implement new technologies as needed.
• Work effectively in fast-paced, regulated environments.
• Demonstrate willingness to take on additional duties as needed.
• Understand deaf culture and educational history to support students and staff.
• Collaborate with deaf and hearing-impaired individuals, instructors, and administrators.
