Job summary

The City of Fort Saskatchewan is seeking an Events Supervisor for the Shell Theatre to coordinate event delivery, manage staff and volunteers, and ensure excellent customer service at the Dow Centennial Centre. The role requires a High School Diploma with post-secondary training in events and at least 3 years of experience in event management and volunteer leadership.

Preference given to candidates with a Special Events Coordination certificate and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma with some post-secondary education in a related field.
• Certificate or diploma in Special Events Coordination or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in event management, communications and volunteer leadership.
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the arrangements for delivery of events or functions at the Dow Centennial Centre.
• Ensure clients and appropriate staff and volunteers are engaged in planning, coordinating, delivery and evaluation stages to ensure quality service.
• Mentor bookings clerks regarding City owned facilities where applicable.
