Art Teacher - Grade 11 at Mount Baker Secondary School in Cranbrook, BC. This 0.286 FTE temporary contract runs from February 1, 2027 to June 25, 2027 and is to be filled on-site. Preference given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification and with degree/formal training in Art at the Secondary level.

Applicants should have teaching experience in Art at the Secondary level; the position requires on-site work and adherence to the local collective agreement terms.

Contract Type : Part-time Temporary (0.286 FTE)

Salary Range: The starting annual salary for this teaching position ranges from $20,132 to $34,087, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

Terms and conditions pursuant to the Collective Agreement between the Cranbrook and Fernie Teachers' Association and School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay).

-Preference will be given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification.

-Must have a degree/formal training and/or teaching experience in subjects and at a level specific to each posting.

Job Summary:

Art Teacher - Grade 11
0.286 FTE temporary contract, starting February 1, 2027 or upon completion of the posting process to June 25, 2027.
Must have a degree/formal training and or teaching experience in Art at the Secondary level.
This position is scheduled to include 1 semester block of Art 11 (semester 2). Please note that all work will be on site.

Please note: Continuing teachers will need to vacate their continuing assignment in order to accept a temporary assignment, unless the FTE is greater in the temporary job posting.
