Job summary

The City of Belleville is seeking a Specialized Instructor, Uncertified (Art) for a temporary part-time role at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.

You will prepare lesson plans, deliver quality instruction, evaluate progress and complete administrative tasks while promoting a healthy, inclusive community experience for participants. Hours vary, 1–5 hours weekly, with salary $26.93–$29.13 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma at minimum.
• Standard First Aid with CPR-C or Intermediate First Aid with CPR-C and AED.
• Previous experience in the related discipline.
• Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving skills.
• Previous instructing experience in the related discipline.
• Ability to take initiative and complete work in a detail oriented and timely manner.
• Highly self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Satisfactory CRC and Vulnerable Sector Screening prior to commencing work.

Responsibilities

• Represent the City of Belleville in a professional manner following department policies.
• Ensure safety and supervision of participants per rules.
• Plan, implement, and lead your designated program.
• Provide program adaptations to meet diverse participant needs.
• Complete attendance and required paperwork per procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and file necessary reports.
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Foster positive relationships with participants and communicate professionally.
