Job summary

GardaWorld is hiring Armed Driver Cash Transporters in Nanaimo, BC. This casual position offers a starting wage with variable hours and full training support.

You will perform value pickups/deliveries, reload ABMs, and maintain safety for staff and customers. Training for RPAL is provided, with growth opportunities in the international GardaWorld group.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid PAL (restricted and non-restricted) license.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with up to 6 demerit points.
• BC Security Licence or willingness to obtain it.
• Capable to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Available to work on-call for evenings, nights and weekends.
• Reliable, conscientious and safety-focused.
• Customer-service oriented and able to handle stress.
• Highly organized with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform pickups and deliveries of values safely and efficiently.
• Reload or perform minor repairs on ABM machines.
• Ensure a safe environment for colleagues and customers.
• Follow established routes and schedules closely.
• Drive an armored vehicle and maintain road safety.
• Load and unload the armored vehicle.
• Complete daily reports and paperwork.
• Distribute and receive moneybags, receipts, and route keys.
• Verify bulk orders from vault and external sources.
• Respect GardaWorld Cash procedures and regulations.
• Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

We are hiring Armed Driver Cash Transporters for our Cash Services division at our branch in Nanaimo, BC.

EXCLUSIVE TRAINING WITH GARDAWORLD CASH FOR OBTAINING A FIREARMS POSSESSION AND ACQUISITION LICENCE (PAL)

GardaWorld Cash is currently looking for new talent to join our team of Armed Driver Cash Transporters in our Nanaimo branch.

You dream of being an Armed Driver Cash Transporter, but you don't have your RPAL (restricted firearms license)? We're here to help! GardaWorld takes care of the RPAL Trainings and offers support for the license request.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform the pickups and delivery of values safely and efficiently for each client


• Reload or perform minor repairs on ABM (automated banking machine) from various financial institutions


• Ensure a safe environment for your colleagues and customers


• Follow established routes and schedules closely


• Drive an armored vehicle and respect road safety at all times


• Load and unload the armored vehicle


• Complete the necessary daily reports and paperwork


• Responsible for the distribution and receipt of moneybags, receipts, daily route guides, route keys to fellow Armed Driver/Messengers


• Verify bulk orders received from the vault, other departments, and external sources


• Respect the procedures and regulations initiated by GardaWorld Cash


• Additional job duties may be assigned as necessary

What We’re Looking For

• Possess a valid Restricted and Non-Restricted endorsed Firearms License (PAL: Possession and Acquisition License)


• Possess a valid class 5 driver's license with a maximum loss of 6 demerit points


• Possess a British Colombia Security Licence or be willing to obtain it if hired


• Capable to lift loads up to 50 pounds


• Available to work on-call for evenings, nights and or weekend shifts with no minimum guaranteed hours


• Reliable, conscientious, responsible, and committed to safe job performance


• Customer service oriented and skillful in managing stressful situations


• Highly organized and comfortable working with minimal supervision


• Eager to work in a fast-paced environment and capable to cope with pressure and tight timelines

Successful candidates will be required to complete a free training as required by the Federal Government for this role.
